This is an image of the crowd at the Kentucky Derby from May 1st. I decided to choose this picture because of the size and close proximity of the crowd. This crowd size has not been possible over the past year due to the pandemic, but with the large volume of vaccinations and decline of cases in the U.S., people are able to gather in large crowds once again. Thus, this image represents a return to normalcy in the U.S.
