April 20 – Marketing Project
Today, I sat down to do some work on a Marketing project that I have with four other people. The project is due at the end of the week and we have to be able to present our idea to the class. In addition to a slideshow, we also need to write a written proposal of our ideas, which would be more reliant on data and statistics than my other writing. Again I was in my hotel room doing work and I started at around noon. I felt more pressure working on this assignment because I had other group members that were relying on me. Unlike an individual assignment where I only have myself to worry about, for this project I had to make sure I did not drag my group down by not doing sufficient research and work. I quickly realized that writing was not the most important aspect of the assignment, as it would require a lot more research and thinking than I had imagined. To make matters worse, I was having a hard time understanding my task for the assignment as our professor made the instructions fairly open ended. However, I also knew that my part of the presentation was only about a minute, so I believed making a slide and writing out my ideas would be manageable. After some research, I was able to write some ideas into the presentation and the proposal, putting myself in a position to complete the assignment by the end of the week.
